Write for us
We welcome clear, original contributions that help readers understand northern landscapes and the patterns that shape them. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting a finished article.
Subjects that fit
Pitch an evergreen explanation, comparison, background piece or observation-led feature about landforms, weather, light, waterways or wayfinding. A strong idea has a defined question and a reason it will interest readers beyond one news cycle.
Make the pitch specific
Tell us the working title, the main point you want to explain, the category it may suit and what makes your approach distinct. Note any specialist terms or location-specific limits the piece would need to explain. We value a concise proposal over a complete draft.
Originality and scope
Contributions must be original and should not rely on invented scenes, unsupported claims or uncredited material. We do not seek professional, safety-critical or location-dependent instructions. Sending a proposal does not guarantee publication.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then include your pitch in the message. Please do not include confidential material or assume a response by a particular date.
